I have always wanted to try teeth whitening. I have tried the strips and pastes and even consider professional teeth whitening, but didn’t want to pay hundreds of dollars. Plus, some of the horror stories, I heard about teeth whitening, made me shy away.
Smile Brilliant is one of the fastest growing retailers of teeth whitening products in the US, so it seemed like the perfect place to get started with whitening your teeth at home. Your Smile Brilliant kit comes with 3 whitening and desensitizing gels (extra cost), whitening tray molds, catalyst paste and base paste. There are complete directions in the kit. Be sure to read them thoroughly and watch for inserts that may have direction correction. Each syringe has 3-4 applications, giving you plenty of gel to get your teeth whiter.
If you have ever had orthodontic work, you are probably familiar with impressions. The Smile Brilliant kit is unique in that you form and make your own impressions, send them back in the enclosed envelope, then receive custom made whitening trays. The trays are made to kit your mouth and ensure you get the whitening gel on your teeth. Watch the video below and see how our impressions came out.
In less than a week, we had our custom teeth whitening trays back in the mail and were ready to start whitening! Again, be sure to read all the directions, so you know how much gel to use and timing that needs to take place. Some of the timing takes place based on your personal preferences. Overall, this kit got the job done. The teeth whitening process was simple and easy to complete at home. I definitely needed the desensitizing gel and had a few hiccups along the way. The Smile Brilliant website has awesome customer support and you can get chat live with a person with concerns and questions. I did experience some gum soreness. I realized during a chat, I was putting too much gel in my trays. That was a tricky process, but once I found the correct amount that worked for me it was smooth sailing. I could see a difference in my teeth after just 2 uses. I used it for a week straight and definitely saw a big difference. I am about to reapply again, just in time for the holidays to have a bright smile!

Wow, this is an awesome system! I much prefer being able to do my own mold than having anyones hands in my mouth lol! I love the little video, it seems easier to follow than written instructions! Thanks so much for the review and for sharing!
