Sand Cups Quick Frugal Kid Friendly Treat Recipe!
Sand Cup Treats are a great way to make a quick snack for kids and is also fun to eat!!! We got the idea for these from our Megabloks Barbie Party kit for these!! Some of the ingredients we had on hand from the stockpile so it made them even cheaper to make!! We came up with a creative way to serve them in crystal Chinet cups that we decorated with Barbie stickers to match the theme of the party!! The possibilities for changing these up is endless!!
Ingredients for Sand Cups:
- 1 Box of Jello instant vanilla pudding (we got the big box)
- 1 box of Vanilla Wafers
- 1 tub of cool whip thawed (I left mine in the fridge over night)
- 3 cups of milk (Match the directions on your box in case you get a smaller box)
- Gummy Treats (we did worms ) or other items to prop up in your sand
- bowl/cups to put the mix in
Directions:
- Prepare the pudding with milk as directed on box. Let stand until thick.
- crush the Vanilla Wafers (We did ours in a Ziploc bag with a rolling pin)
- Mix the Cool Whip into the Pudding mix
- In the bottom of the cups or bowl spread out half the crushed Vanilla Wafers
- Disperse the pudding mixture into the cups
- Spread out the rest of the Vanilla Wafers on top of the pudding mixture
- Top with gummy items or what ever you choose to use!!
The flavor variations are endless for Sand Cups!! This combination was so yummy and such a hit with all the kids!
