One of my friends recently moved to London, for her job. If she wanted to stay employed, she had no choice but to move to London. She’s single with no children, so there was nothing really holding her back from making such a big move. I didn’t really want to see her move so far away, but her living in London, gives our family a good reason to visit England. I miss her already and she just left a few days ago.
Since we all have internet, cell phones and Facebook, keeping in touch will not be a problem. The only problem that I actually thought of was being able to send her gifts for birthdays, Christmas and special occasions. I have never mailed anything to places outside of the United States and had no clue, how to go about it. I talked to our local postmaster and it seems it’s not much different than mailing things domestically, you just have a few extra forms to complete and the cost is significantly higher than mailing things to places in our own country. The extra cost isn’t a good thing, I was on a mission to find something affordable and fun! Since her birthday is only a few weeks away, I thought I would look around the internet and see what I could have delivered directly to her new London address.
I used Google and did a search that included the words; gifts in London. One of the first pages in the search was floral arrangements. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Interflora have florists in London that can deliver flowers and gifts from me with just a click of a button. Plus the shipping is FREE! I love to save money and now I can even save when buying gifts for my friend in London. I am super excited!
Have you ever sent gifts to friends or family in other countries? I would love to hear your thoughts about what to send and where to find gift ideas!

What a great find. We have family in China and have struggled to find affordable ways to send gifts there.
