Top 10 Ways to Use Vinegar You May Not Know About

White vinegar is a low cost answer to many household tasks, it’s not just for cooking!

  • Put 1 TBSP. white vinegar to 1 cup water and bring to boil in microwave to loosen any cooked on foods. Wipe Clean!
  • Have lightly scratched DVDs or Video Games? Wipe with white vinegar on a lint free cloth and they should be good as new.
  • Use vinegar to loosen gum for upholstered furniture or carpets
  • Add 2 TBSP. white vinegar and 1 tsp sugar to water in a vase of fresh cut flowers
  • Pour white vinegar on weeds and grass growing in sidewalk cracks to kill them
  • Remove rust from tools by soaking overnight in white vinegar
  • Add 2 TBSP per quart of water while boiling eggs to prevent cracking and remove shells easier
  • Clean eyeglass lenses with a few drops of vinegar
  • Add 1 TBSP white vinegar to rinse cycle of stockings and pantyhose to extend their life
  • Dab white vinegar on insect bites to help relieve itching
