*Disclaimer – I am not the best recipe savvy cook. I like to experiment, dump, pour, add, taste and maybe add something else, kind of cook. Baked goods are one of the few recipes I follow exactly! I don’t want to have an ultimate baking fail ** You have been warned, enjoy!
Tear one large head of lettuce into bite size pieces * (or bagged salad )
Use any 1/2 pound of any lunch meat you like in any combinations; cut into bite size pieces.
½ pound of any cheese you may like; cut into bite size pieces
1 small onion thinly sliced
1 small tomato cubed
Your favorite Italian Dressing or Oil/Vinegar blend
Mayo or Miracle Whip
Italian Seasoning
Sweet Pepper Strips
Black Olive Slices
Feel free to add anything else you like to eat on a hoagie or sub.
Put lettuce in large bowl, add meat, onion, peppers, olives & cheese & toss.
Add small amounts of dressing, until desired taste is reached.
Stir in 1 – 2 Tablespoons mayo & stir well.
I usually add the tomatoes last and toss gently. Or keep them on the side
Sprinkle with Italian Seasoning and enjoy
Can be served with rolls, if desired.
This recipe really should be eaten within 1 day. It doesn’t store well. Sort of like eating a day old sub, soggy,.
As you can see this is pretty much a throw together recipe, that can be altered to any taste. You can add hot peppers, pickles, cucumbers, carrots, anything that you like. It’s a quick and easy all in one meal.
