Making your own seasonings is a great way to save money and not have all the extra ingredients you don’t need in your foods. For this recipe you will need ~
2 TBSP. Garlic Powder
5 tsp. Chili Powder
5 tsp. Paprika
1 TBSP. onion powder ( I just used minced onion)
2 TBSP. Cumin
1/8 tsp. Cayenne Pepper (more if you like spicy)
Mix all ingredients well and store in an airtight container. You only need about 1 TBSP of seasoning per 1 lb of meat.
Brown and drain 1 lb of ground turkey, chicken or beef(whatever I found on sale or markdowns) add 1/2 cup water and 1 TBSP. taco seasoning and simmer on low until water is absorbed. You can taste the meat and add more seasoning if you need it.
Easy and quick! Enjoy!!

Making your own taco seasoning is not only delicious but it’s healthy too! WAY too much sodium in store bought taco seasoning.
