CVS had a ton of FREE after ECB’s that started on Thanksgiving Day. My local store is usually not very well stocked, so I headed there at 9 am to check it out.
They actually had all but 4 of the items that were FREE, so I made out pretty well. I started with $8 in ECB’s. Spent $8.33 OOP and ended up with $124.21 in merchandise. Plus, $11 in ECB’s to use on my next visit. I only used a handful of coupons. Most transactions were paid for with rolling ECB’s from one transaction to the next.
I did it in 10 transactions. 2 at a time. I would do 2 transactions, then go around the store again and come back, so I didn’t hold up the line. It was surprisingly busy for a holiday. I met a few super shoppers and just a few people only interested in the FREE stuff and saving their ECB’s for another time.
Did you snag any Thanksgiving or Black Friday bargains?? I would love to hear about them in the comments. Thanks!

Like your’s, our CVS is ‘a small one’ as 1 of their employees calls it. We headed over there at 9AM on Thanksgiving also and hardly anyone was there! I was happily surprised… However, They were not even stocked (and never do explained an employee) on 5/6 of the items… my biggest disappointment was the Starbucks!! LOL… I REALLY love doubleshots! We did manage to get the rest of the items we listed, AND… 16 strands of Xmas lights that earned a $10 GC which paid for the Disney/Crayola toy my grandson had on his list (and, I have a $4.00 rebate for it!!) I did a few separate transactions and one lady shopper actually clapped! The cashier just wanted me to leave… 🙂
In total we had $197.36 retail and OOP was $31.56 with $14.37 ECB’s for next time… TOTAL win at CVS!!
