This Low Fat Strawberry Banana Milkshake is a perfect combination of my favorite flavors that are light and refreshing without all the extra calories and fat you would typically find in a milkshake. Not only have we managed to remake a classic into a healthier version, we have also managed to make something that you can easily sneak in some extra fruits or even veggies into your kids diets without them even knowing.
LOW FAT STRAWBERRY BANANA MILKSHAKE
INGREDIENTS
1 Cup Low Fat Frozen Vanilla Yogurt ( you could use refrigerated yogurt, too. Just add a few pieces of ice)
1 Cup Frozen Strawberries
1 Ripe Banana
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
½ -3/4 Cup Skim Milk
DIRECTIONS
In blender mix together strawberries, bananas and milk until smooth.
Add in ice cream and vanilla extract and pulse until well incorporated and smooth.
If you prefer a thicker milkshake, you can easily add half the milk. Just remember that some blenders don’t work as well to blend without the added milk.
Cool, full of flavor and healthy, this Low Fat Strawberry Banana Milkshake is a great after dinner treat for the whole family. Each batch makes 4 servings that are low in fat and calories and packed full of flavor.
