Now that it’s officially fall, our kids have to buckle down and get their nose in the books. We have a college junior and a high school senior in our household, so we are hitting the books on a regular basis. When my daughter went to college, she learned rather quickly that studying in college was much different than it had been in high school. High school didn’t really prepare her for the studying that came with college level courses. We are starting now with our son, to make sure he isn’t knocked down by the demands and pressures of college courses.
Since college is a huge expense, being prepared is more important than ever. We are on a mission to make sure that college funds are being well spent, so developing a plan of success became a top priority for our family. Improving study skills and making sure her GPA is sufficient were the top areas our daughter decided to target. Our son is going to focus on putting out top-notch essays for his college application process. One of the main sites we have been using is Studymode.com. It’s a learning tool our kids have learned to rely heavily on. You can research topics you need for classwork or essays anytime of the day or night. Having the resources you need at your fingertips has been a huge help in developing a study plan that works best for our kids. My daughter enjoys being able to get inspiration from the essays on the site and use it to get her creative juices flowing. My son has written several essays that his current teachers have been more than thrilled with.
We are excited that our kids have found a website that is inspiring them to do the best they can. College is a huge investment and having the tools to make it successful is a true blessing!
