Family Friendly Frugality is a blog I follow. I really enjoy her writing style and her posts are family focused and useful to me. The name of her blog, says it all!
On Tuesday, Heather posted about Read Across America , which is celebrated in honor of the lated “Dr. Seuss” and reading to your children everyday. I am a firm believer in the benefits of reading to children of any age and in the digitial world we live in, it sometimes saddens me to see children “listening” to an electronic reader instead of a real person. Reading isn’t just about the words in a book, it’s about spending good quality time with a child, talking, sharing and one on one interaction.
Please take time this week and sit down with your child and spend some good quality time with them, because each day is a gift and you never know when it may be your last chance to hug them.
Also, check out the link below for a great post from Heather at Family Friendly Frugality, I am sure you will enjoy it.
