We recently had the chance to test out The Demolition Backpack from Targus!

The Demoliton Backpack features a water-resistant material lining the bottom of the bag to protect its contents; deluxe padded laptop compartment; protective Tablet/eReader compartment; retractable stand-ability feature with anti-shock pad; padded back panel; waist buckle; padded shoulder straps; exterior accessory compartments; and mesh water bottle storage.

Here is some pictures of my husband testing out his backpack and this thoughts on it!

At first the hubby wasn’t sure he was going to like this backpack. Besides the shoulder straps, it has a  loop handle so you can carry it, if not wearing it. The handle kept hitting him in the neck everytime he wore the backpack. But you know what? A few minor strap adjustments and the backpack fit him like a charm!! LOL

He was on his way camping when I snapped these pictures. He has a change of clothes, first aid kit, toiletries and my our iPad inside the backpack and still has lots of room! (Sorry the pictures didn’t turn out, too much black on black) I wondered why he was taking our iPad camping with no WiFi, but I forgot about his games. He has lots of Apps on there that you can play without an internet connection.  Plus, with all that extra padding and anti-shock padding inside the Demolition Backpack, I knew the iPad would have a safe trip. Guess What? It came back in one piece, no bumps or bruises, so glad!!

When he went hiking, he stowed his water bottle in the side mesh pocket, clipped  his whistle to the front clip of the backpack and was safe and sound! Thank goodness the iPad didn’t go on the hike, because it started to rain. He assured me everything inside the backpack stayed nice and dry, the water didn’t touch any of it. But I am sure glad he didn’t test out the water resistant lining with my our iPad!

The thing I noticed that I like the best about the Demolition Back Pack is the ability to stand up with out falling over. It was packed full of stuff, but I could carry it by the handle and then just sit it down wherever I needed and it didn’t fall over. I don’t really enjoy wearing a backpack, but I have no problems carrying them wherever we go.

  1. Sounds like a high quality bag. I learned a few years ago that it’s always smart to buy backpacks that have the chest clips like this one – it makes a big difference in that it allows the weight to be distributed more evenly. Bags without the chest clip in front tend to leave all the weight to fall on the shoulders which gets painful quickly.

  2. Great bag! My husband needs something like this for his camping or when we visit theme parks! Great review!
