I don’t know about you, but I think my preschoolers may have secret stock in the Band-Aid company! Every time they have any kind of bump or scratch, they NEED a Band-Aid to make it all better! With summer coming and all the kiddos home all day long, I am sure we will need to restock, soon! I will never forget, when my niece was little she used to say that “magic ice cream” would make her all better when she got a boo boo. That was years before an iPad or iPhone App was available to do its own magic on kids everywhere. Flash forward 25 years later and her kids can get a close up and personal visit from Kermit, Miss Piggy or even Gonzo to help make the boo boo experience a bit less traumatic and help cheer up a sad face.
The Band-Aid Magic Vision application is now available for FREE to iphone 4, iphone 4s, iPad 2 and the New iPad users. Be sure to head to the Apple App Store to search for Band-Aid Magic Vision and snag your FREE App today! This cool new app uses Augmented Reality technology to merge your child’s real-life surroundings with graphics displayed on the digital screen to unlock a special world where Disney’s The Muppets come to life to distract your child from their boo boo woes and hopefully add a smile back to their face.
Each character is fun and full of surprises. If you move the iPad back and forth, Kermit swings on his swing, playing his banjo and singing to make everyone feel better. Miss Piggy is strutting her stuff on the famous red carpet and you can join her, with a quick picture snap your child can be standing beside Miss Piggy sharing the spotlight. Then there is Gonzo! He’s a favorite around here and on the App he’s up to his same old and even a few new tricks to entertain all. When you shake the iPad, Gonzo will become unstuck from his latest escapade, right before your child’s eyes.
Over the weekend, we had a chance to try out the new App on a few kiddos and even a few adults got in on the fun, too. I am not sure who had more fun. Everyone was laughing at the Muppet’s so much, we almost forgot to put a Band-Aid on the poor kiddos boo boo. I am pretty sure she forgot about the boo boo, too, which may help save on those Band-Aids.
Once you download the APP, you can scan a Band-Aid or the Band-Aid box to activate your APP. OR if you don’t have a Band-Aid or the box close by the APP will send you a picture you can download and print out to use. While you wait for that, you can still take pictures with Kermit “surfing” on a Muppet’s Band-Aid. **IF you want to you can print out the “Band-Aid” at the bottom of this post and scan it to activate your APP, too!
We all had lots of fun with the new Band-Aid Magic Vision App. It’s free and can entertain just about anyone, so what do you have to lose? Head over to the Apple Store and give it a try today. Once you give it a try, I would love to hear your thoughts or have you share some of your pictures, too! Have fun!!
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages and received a promotional item to thank me for my participation. Regardless, all opinions are the honest feedback of me and my family.
