Saving Money on Food Storage

I have a cupboard with plastic reheat-able dishes in it. I have accumulated most of them from coupon deals and clearance racks. But I am tired of them looking horrible as soon as you use them in the microwave or having the lids crack or not being able to find the lids, etc. So, I have decided they have to go! But I still need something for storage and some kind of dishes for microwave reheating.

I looked around a bit and decided that glass baking and storage dishes were my best choice and I was determined to use them as a money saving investment.

I was able to review a set of Frigoverre Square Glass Food-Storage Containers. The containers are kitchen friendly and have a leak-proof, stain resistant, and spill-proof design that is also BPA free and microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe. I can use them to store, mix, bake, serve, cook, reheat, everything but stove top. I don’t need stove top, that is what my pots and pans are for.

You can buy the set at online at Target.com  and right now on Amazon.com for less than $25. They clean up so easy and I really think they will be a great investment. I can pitch all of those plastic storage containers and use my glass for all my needs in one. Great for make ahead meals, freezer cooking, pot lucks and more.

Do you use glass or plastic? Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! Thanks!!
